Thank you for shopping with BIGshop.com.au. We want you to be confident about your purchases on our website and to enjoy shopping with BIGshop as much as we enjoy serving you. Your business is important to us.
We are happy to exchange or refund goods (excluding CDs, DVDs, underwear or software) within 14 days if you have changed your mind about them, just contact us and let us know. We try our best to minimize any defects or hassles, but when they do occur, we are here to assist you. To ensure that any return goes as smoothly as possible please read the returns policy below.
Please note, warranties vary depending on the nature of the goods, their purchase price and description. See your item description for details. We do not build the cost of extra/ voluntary warranty into the cost of our goods so, if our warranty periods may be shorter than offline stores, it is part of the reason our goods are such a great price!

Your Rights
Statutory conditions are your rights. They apply to every sale and cannot be waived, limited or excluded. Everything you purchase from BIGshop.com.au will meet these standards.
- The goods must be of merchantable quality. This means they must meet a basic level of quality and performance, taking into account their price and description. They must be free from defects that were not obvious or pointed out to you at the time of purchase.
- The goods must be fit for their purpose. This means that they should do what they are supposed to do and be suitable for any purpose that you might have made known to the supplier.
- The goods must match the description or the sample you chose from. For example, any carpet laid must be the same quality and colour as the sample you chose from.
- You must receive clear title to the goods, including goods bought at auction. This means that you can expect to own the goods outright and any restriction on ownership should be explained to you beforehand.
Your Responsibilities
- Be sure that what you are ordering is suitable for your needs. If you need more specifications or information, please ask for it.
- Check the goods for damage or fault as soon as they are received.
- Read and understand all instructions, advice and warnings before using the goods.
- Report any defects as soon as they arise during the warranty period.
- Return goods promptly if asked to do so (within 14 days unless by other agreement) and include all accessories
- Package any returning goods carefully & sufficiently to prevent damage or further damage in transit.
Our Promise
- The goods will meet the statutory conditions above, if they do not we will offer a remedy.
- We will do our best to make every remedy quick and easy.
- We understand that sometimes life can be a little bit complicated so we are happy to negotiate a remedy for your situation. In some circumstances we can accept photographs via email rather than returns, offer discounts or parts, etc.
- Any repairs will be carried out promptly by BIGshop, usually within 7 business days of receiving the goods, and all repairs are guaranteed.
Reason for return
I don’t want it
No worries! If you choose the wrong item or change your mind about your purchase just return the goods at your cost within 14 days of delivery to receive store credit. Goods must be returned in their original condition, unopened and undamaged and include all labels, tags and manuals.
A store credit or refund will be issued for the original purchase price of the goods, less any shipping costs and a re-stocking fee of 10% of the purchase price. If you received free delivery then the delivery cost will also be deducted.
This offer excludes CDs, DVDs, software and goods that may be duplicated or consumed before return or goods where may be unhygienic (for example, underwear or earrings).
I’ve received the wrong item!
Whoops! Sorry! Please contact us as soon as you have received the incorrect item. We will cover all costs to replace it with the correct item. If the correct item is no longer in stock or available we will replace it with a suitable product with similar specifications or refund you. Incorrect goods must be returned in their original condition, unopened and undamaged and include all labels, tags and manuals.
My item was damaged in transit
For peace of mind all shipping fees include shipping insurance. We understand that many delivery companies will not wait for you to inspect the goods before signing that they have been received undamaged. For this reason we have extended our insurance to cover the first 24 hours after delivery has taken place.
If you receive an item that has been damaged in shipping please contact us within 24 hours of signing for the goods as received undamaged so that we can organise a quick resolution for you. We can discount, repair, replace or refund at our cost depending of the nature of the damage and what you would prefer. If the item is no longer in stock or available we will replace it with a suitable product with similar specifications or refund you.
If the goods need to be returned for replacement, please package them carefully, preferably in the original packaging. Please do not write on or deface the packaging. Please note, insurance does not cover the original cost of shipping.
It’s not working
Please see the item description on our website for warranty details. (We recommend printing a copy at the time of purchase as this will not appear on the website if the item is out of stock. If you require a copy, please contact us and we will email one out to you.)
30 days BIGshop will repair or replace the goods at our cost if a manufacturing defect arises within 30 days from the date of purchase. If the item is no longer in stock or available we will replace it with a suitable product with similar specifications or refund you.
90 days BIGshop will repair or replace the goods at our cost if a manufacturing defect arises within 30 days from the date of purchase.
BIGshop will repair or replace the goods if a manufacturing defect arises after 30 days but within 90 days from the date of purchase. Please return the goods to us well packaged at your cost. BIGshop will cover the cost of return shipment to you. If the item is no longer in stock or available we will replace it with a suitable product with similar specifications or refund you.
1 year BIGshop will repair or replace the goods at our cost if a manufacturing defect arises within 30 days from the date of purchase.
BIGshop will repair or replace the goods if a manufacturing defect arises after 30 days but within 1 year from the date of purchase. Please return the goods to us well packaged at your cost. BIGshop will cover the cost of return shipment to you. If the item is no longer in stock or available we will replace it with a suitable product with similar specifications or refund you.
5 Year Motor Parts BIGshop will provide a replacement motor for a defective one if a manufacturing defect arises after 1 year but within 5 years from the date of purchase. BIGshop will cover the cost of shipping the parts to you. If the replacement part is no longer in stock or available we will replace it with a suitable part with similar specifications or refund you the cost of the part. Labour is not included.
Lifetime Frame Parts BIGshop will provide a replacement frame for a defective one if a manufacturing defect arises after 1 year but within 10 years from the date of purchase. BIGshop will cover the cost shipment of the parts to you. If the replacement part is no longer in stock or available we will replace it with a suitable part with similar specifications or refund you the cost of the part. Labour is not included.
Manufacturer’s Warranty Specialised goods, like electronics, computers or computer parts, often require expert after sales service or repairs so these warranties are usually handled directly by the manufacturer. Where the after sales service or warranty is handled directly by the manufacturer this will be stated in the item description with the warranty period.
Most products covered by a manufacturers warranty contain a warranty card with contact details for trouble shooting or making a claim. Please contact us for the manufacturer’s contact details if they are not included with your goods or for assistance, if necessary, when lodging a claim.
If the manufacturer is no longer contactable, BIGshop will arrange a repair, replacement or refund within the advertised warranty period.
Warranty and Repair Conditions
- Warranties do not cover wear and tear, consumable parts, misuse, neglect or tampering by unauthorised persons.
- Proof of purchase must be provided with every claim.
- Please contact us as soon as a manufacturing defect arises during the warranty period to arrange the replacement or return of the goods. Please do not continue to use the goods once a fault is suspected.
- Once the replacement or return has been approved and an RMA (Returned Merchandise Authorisation) has been issued, please follow the instructions given by our customer service department.
- If goods are requested to be returned, please do so promptly within 14 days unless by other agreement. Please include all accessories and package goods safely to prevent damage. Goods requested for return must be received before a replacement may be shipped.
- If goods are not required to be returned, please dispose of them carefully and in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Shipping and insurance will be covered by BIGshop if a manufacturing fault arises within the first 30 days from date of purchase, after this time shipment and insurance is the responsibility of the purchaser. We recommend using a registered, insured service.
- Any repairs will be carried out promptly by BIGshop, usually within 7 business days of receiving the goods, and all repairs are guaranteed. Please note, if parts are required to be brought in from the manufacturer this time may vary.
- If the goods returned have a valid manufacturing defect that cannot be repaired, the defective goods will be replaced with new goods or with a new, suitable product with similar specifications. In this case the defective goods become the property of BIGshop and the new goods become your property. New goods are covered by new warranty.
- If suitable replacement goods cannot be provided, you will be refunded. The refund amount can vary, depending on the consumption of the goods, and may be part of or up to the full original purchase price of the goods. In this case the defective goods become the property of BIGshop.
- Where a computing Product needs to be returned to BIGshop for a warranty or other claim, BIGshop will in no manner whatsoever be responsible for any data you may leave on the computing Product.
- Should no fault be found or the warranty claim be invalid BIGshop reserves the right to charge a $30 testing fee in addition to any applicable shipping, return shipping, labour or parts costs.
Disposal of or Sale of Uncollected Goods
The storage of purchased goods or acceptance of returned goods for inspection, custody, storage, repair or other treatment by BIGshop (the bailee) is subject to the Queensland Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act 1967. This Act gives the bailee the right to sell or dispose of goods in certain circumstances after the appropriate period of time has elapsed and appropriate notice has been given. Please collect your goods promptly.
Liability, Limitations and Exclusions
- BIGshop’s Returns Policy, User Agreement and Terms and Conditions do not exclude Statutory Conditions or Warranties under Australian Law.
- To the extent permitted by law, warranties will only apply to products used for personal, domestic or private use. Using products purchased from BIGshop.com.au for commercial purposes will result in the warranty being voided.
- BIGshop will not be liable for any loss of income, loss of profits, loss of contracts, loss of data or for any indirect or consequential loss or damage of any kind (however arising and whether caused by tort, including negligence, breach of contract or otherwise).
- In relation to electronic, media, computer or electronic parts or goods, BIGshop will not be responsible for direct, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory, including but not limited to lost profits, downtime, goodwill, damage to or replacement of equipment and property, any costs of recovering, reprogramming, or reproducing any program or data stored in or used with BIGshop goods supplied to you, and any failure to maintain the confidentiality of data stored on the goods. BIGshop specifically does not state that it will be able to repair any goods under warranty or make a goods exchange without risk to or loss of programs or data. Recovery and/ reinstallation of operating systems, programmes and/ user data is not covered under any BIGshop warranty.
- Our maximum aggregate liability for any goods supplied to you whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise shall in no circumstances exceed the amount originally paid by you to us in respect of the goods in question.
