The Marantz is thus stunning crafted and beautiful to look at with its opaque acrylic platter and plinth, plus elegantly designed arm. The plinth itself is a tactile delight with finely finished surface and nicely machined, gently rounded edges, it reeks of understated distinction. The Marantz produced a superb rendition of the 1975 Scarlatti Harpsichord Sontas’ by Blandine Verlet, where it was the equal of the superbly high-resolution Roskan Radius 5/Nima with this recording in almost every musical aspect. Therefore resolution was very high while the phrasing of the playing was also consummately expressed, with deftness and layering to die for.
The sound is similarity elegant, refined and yet powerful and dynamic also. The Marantz was capable and authoritative with all the music used in more than just a competent manner; it was a high-resolution source component in almost every tangible acoustic aspect.
Marantz TT-15S1 analog turntable looks absolutely stunning and is featured a milk white acrylic frame which should match well with Marantz's PM-11S1 flagship stereo integrated amplifier and SA-11S1 SACD player. Sporting a 20mm thick acrylic chassis and 28mm thick acrylic turntable, the TT-15S1 looks like an antique that was recreated using 21st century technology and materials.
